Link Instagram to a Facebook Page, then add it to FilContent

For Instagram to appear in FilContent, it must be a Business or Creator account linked directly to a Facebook Page you can manage. Adding both accounts to Accounts Center alone may not be sufficient.

Check these requirements first

  • Instagram is a professional Business or Creator account.
  • You have Facebook or task access to the required Facebook Page.
  • You can sign in to Instagram and complete any security verification.
  • Any incorrect Instagram account is disconnected from the Page first.

Recommended method

Connect from the Facebook Page settings

1

Open Facebook and select the Page

Sign in, choose See all profiles, then switch into the Facebook Page you want to connect.

2

Open Page settings

From the Page profile picture, choose Settings & privacy, then Settings. Confirm you are acting as the Page.

3

Open Linked accounts

Under Permissions, select Linked accounts, then choose View beside Instagram.

4

Select Connect account

Continue through Meta’s prompts and sign in to the correct Instagram account.

5

Switch to professional if requested

If Instagram is personal, Meta will ask you to convert it to Business or Creator. Professional accounts are public.

6

Verify the connected username

The correct Instagram username should now appear under the Facebook Page’s linked accounts.

Alternative method in the Instagram app

  1. 1Open the Instagram profile and select Edit profile.
  2. 2Under Public business information, select Page.
  3. 3Continue and sign in to Facebook.
  4. 4Choose the correct Facebook Page from the Pages you manage.
  5. 5Select Connect and confirm the Page appears on the Instagram profile.

Return to FilContent and refresh Meta accounts

  1. 1. Open the FilContent account connection page.
  2. 2. Select Refresh Meta accounts.
  3. 3. In Meta’s dialog, keep the linked Facebook Page selected.
  4. 4. After returning, Facebook and Instagram should appear as separate accounts with their correct names.

If Instagram does not appear

Instagram is still personal

Convert it to Business or Creator, then reconnect.

The Page is missing

Review Facebook Page access and confirm you have the required permission.

Instagram is linked elsewhere

Disconnect the old Page and link it to the Page selected in FilContent.

Only some Pages were allowed

Reconnect Meta and include the Facebook Page linked to Instagram.

A Page name appears as Instagram

Refresh Meta after completing the link. Instagram should appear as a separate card with its own username.

Meta requests more verification

Complete two-factor authentication, business verification, or Page Publishing Authorization when requested.
